Kontich, February 28, 2023 - The Belgian industry-leading provider of IT & Business Technology Services experienced another substantial growth in 2022. Both turnover and the number of employees recorded a significant increase. A great milestone in 2022 is undoubtedly Cheops' recognition as a Great Place to Work.
16% revenue growth
Despite challenging economic and geopolitical conditions, Cheops realized a 16% increase in revenue in 2022 compared to the previous year. The workforce also experienced solid growth, rising to more than 380 employees in 2022.
This confirms Cheops' position as a Trends Gazelle for the 12th time in a row. And as a leading employer in the IT sector.
Increase in Cloud & Security services
2022 was marked by a solid increase in demand for Cloud and Cybersecurity solutions, further strengthening Cheops' position as a leading Managed Services provider (MSP). Companies are increasingly finding their way to hybrid working and further aligning their IT infrastructure with this, which is why Cheops also saw growth in services based around the 'Modern Workplace'.
Cheops recorded good growth from both existing and new customers within the Medium & Large Enterprises segment. The company welcomed Argenta, Biocartis, Element61, Imec and Lotus Bakeries, among others, as new customers.
Due to increased media attention concerning cybersecurity, there is great awareness among companies that IT Security is a crucial element of their business. Given the complexity and constant change, they should work with a specialized partner like Cheops to do this. After all, we have our own Security Operations Center (SOC) that is permanently staffed. And that is quite unique in the Belgian market.
- Filip Goos, CEO Cheops
Great Place to Work
Cheops also became a Great Place To Work in 2022. Obtaining this certificate is an acknowledgement that Cheops is a pleasant place to work, where employees can have confidence in the colleagues with whom they work.
Ambitions for 2023
Given the accelerated digital transformation, Cheops' ambition is to continue to grow and evolve and achieve a turnover of more than 55 million Euros. In addition, the focus is also on further positioning and developing as a leading Managed Services Provider in the Belgian market. To achieve these objectives, Cheops foresees to exceed the mark of more than 400 IT Professionals in the course of this year.
Cheops also emphasizes the personal guidance and development of its employees. Within the Cheops Academy, numerous training courses tailored to the individual ambitions of employees are consequently offered.
